I absolutely adore this book! My youngest daughter brought this home from the library one day and we knew we had to own it. Now I buy it for baby shower gifts, along with some books geared toward shorter attention spans. When my teens see a copy waiting around to be wrapped, they always ask me to read it to them again. Even after all the readings, we still get a chuckle. It might help that I found the perfect voice to use for the little piggy, but you can find one too!

The two children who were recipients of this gift want to hear and read it over and over and over. I was introduced to this book in an elementary school reading program in which I tutor. Love the clever way it introduces children to the concept of irony. Nicely written, great vocabulary, written with a sense of humor. And most engaging for the kids.

One of my kids' favorite books, this is a delightfully clever story about a piglet who mistakenly arrives on the front doorstep of the fox's house. What ensues is a game of cat and mouse—or fox and piglet, as the case may be—of the piglet stalling the fox while formulating a plan for escape. It is filled with excellent illustrations that fit the story perfectly. This is a fun tale for kids and their grownups alike. If you like clever children's books that also appeal to adults, you should absolutely get this book today. Just a thought, Mr. Fox.

I bought this book for my 5 year old granddaughter because i used to read it to my kindergarten and 1st graders when i was a school librarian. The children used to laugh when they figured out how the wolf was being tricked. Choosing books that children will enjoy is part of turning them into enthusiastic readers.

Such a clever book; I think you could actually use this book to teach the difficult concept of irony. You wouldn't expect a sly, clever fox to be outwitted by a pig of all things. And, it's the pig who has the lucky day, not the fox, and you wouldn't expect a pig meeting a fox to have the lucky day. This is a fun, humorous story that I look forward to reading to my young daughter as she gets older. She's only 6 months but we read to her everyday and we're always looking for good stories for the day she can appreciate them. Add this to your library. Especially for the price, it's a story to have in your child's collection.

This is a fun story to read about the interactions between a pig and a fox. My kids LOVE this book and don't mind listening to it over and over and over again. And it is one I don't mind reading over and over again. Of the books in print by this author, this is one of my favorites.

This is one of our most favorite kids books. We came across this years ago in a book store. It is an awesome book, we love it and we love to give this as a baby gift. It ranks as one of our top 5 books to give.

This is absolutely the best children’s book I have ever read. I have a daughter, two granddaughters, and five great grandbabies and they all love it. It’s better than my favorite Dr. Seuss books
