About the Author
Julieanne E. Steinbacher is the founding shareholder of Steinbacher, Stahl, Goodall & Yurchak, an elder care and special needs planning law firm with locations in Williamsport, PA and State College, PA. She is certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. Her law practice focuses on estate and long-term care planning. As an attorney, her goal is to provide a bridge between legal services and the aging network. Julie belongs to the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA); Academy of Special Needs Planners (ASNP); Wealth Counsel, LLC; and Elder Counsel, LLC. She has been selected as a Presidential Who’s Who and approved to the National Association of Professional Women. Additionally, Julie is an accredited attorney by the Department of Veteran Affairs and may prepare, present, and prosecute claims for the department. Prior to becoming an attorney, Julie was employed by AARP and as a social worker at a nursing home. She has extensive lecturing experience as a speaker for Pennsylvania State University Tax Institutes and Tax Week, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), National Association of Tax Professionals― PA Chapter, Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants (PSPA), Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Elder Law Institute, Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Annual Meeting, Back to Basics, Tax Pro Seminars, and the University of Illinois. In addition, she has conducted numerous local seminars for various organizations.
